Resolved - On 20 May 2026 at 09:48 BST, our platform experienced a brief period of intermittent errors affecting users in the EU1, EU2 and ST1 regions. This was caused by a planned database change rolled out as part of a deployment, where some web requests were briefly routed to a database table that had just been moved. During the impact window, affected requests returned an error in the browser rather than loading the expected page. The system recovered as the deployment completed and the remaining processes picked up the new release, with full service restored by 09:57 BST, a total impact window of approximately 9 minutes. Background processes (scheduled jobs and notifications) were not affected. The next planned migration, in which a table moves between databases, has been split into two separate releases with a stability window between them, so this specific scenario cannot recur. We're also auditing the other table moves planned in the same project against the same pattern, and adding them to our review checklist for future schema changes.
